In the late 1990’s, RCS started exploring new materials, and discovered UPG-TEN. It is a very ductile material known for its extremely high tensile strength, magnetic properties, and heat resistant properties. These attributes have made it a perfect fit for stock car applications and has worked well in conjunction with the wide range of rates used. It has been proven that even when coil-binding, it does not take set and offers more travel, even with lighter spring rates.

With the new RCS coil over spring we’ve been able to take our setup service to the next level. The magnified levels of consistency and linearity have allowed us to focus on getting our cars to stay consistent for 125 laps or more.
Renton Coil Spring’s wide variety of bump stop springs has also allowed us to bring our competitive level up a notch, especially on the rougher race tracks in the Midwest. Their bump springs produce a more linear load versus a conventional bump. In turn, this promotes more grip in the tires by not spiking loads to the contact patch of the tire.
